Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most important questions about TriaTex — from your first registration to features like the scanner, rule watcher and algo monitoring.
General
What is TriaTex?
TriaTex is a Trading Operating System — a web-based platform that supports traders in systematically preparing, executing and reviewing trades.
At its core: trading sessions with journaling, trading rules and plans, a pre-market scanner, a live rule watcher, statistics and — for Pro and Premium users — the connection to MT5 accounts and algo-bot monitoring.
Who is TriaTex for?
TriaTex is aimed at active traders who want to structure and document their trading process. The platform is particularly suitable for:
- Forex, crypto and metals traders
- Prop traders who must comply with firm rules
- Traders who trade ICT, SMC or liquidity strategies
- Algo traders who want to monitor automated systems
- Beginners who want to keep a structured journal from the start
Which markets and instruments are supported?
TriaTex is not limited to a specific market. You can record trades from Forex, indices, cryptocurrencies, commodities (gold, silver, oil) and stock CFDs.
The pre-market scanner is currently focused on Forex pairs and selected commodities. The MT5 account connection works with any broker that supports MetaTrader 5.
Is TriaTex web-based or is there an app?
TriaTex is fully web-based and runs in the browser — on desktop, tablet and mobile. No installation is required.
The interface is optimised for modern browsers. A native mobile app does not currently exist, but the web interface can be used on mobile.
Getting started & Registration
How do I register?
You can register at /auth/register_request.php. Choose a plan (Free, Pro or Premium) and fill in the form.
After registration you will receive an email to confirm your address. After that your account is ready to use immediately.
Where should I start as a new customer?
Recommended order for getting started:
- 1. Create a trading plan — under Plans, create your first plan and define goals, setup rules and risk rules
- 2. Connect an MT5 account — under Accounts, add your broker account (optional but recommended)
- 3. Start your first session — under Start session, open a trading session and record trades
- 4. Review the session — after trading, close the session and evaluate it in the review
Can I try TriaTex for free?
Yes. The Free plan is permanently free and without a time limit. You get access to all basic features: 1 MT5 account, the trading journal and up to 50 trades per day.
Pro and Premium features such as the pre-market scanner, rule watcher or algo monitoring are only available in the higher plans.
I forgot my password — what should I do?
Via Forgot password you can have a reset link sent to you by email. The link is valid for a limited time.
Plans & Subscriptions
Which plans are there and what do they cost?
TriaTex offers three plans:
- Free €0 — 1 MT5 account, 10 MB storage, trading journal, up to 50 trades / day
- Pro €9.90 / month — up to 10 MT4/MT5 accounts, 1 GB storage, standard & prop accounts, rule watcher with yellow & red card and audio, pre-market scanner
- Premium — up to 50 MT5 accounts, 5 GB storage, algo-bot monitoring, cron alerts, own audio recordings
What is the difference between Pro and Premium?
Pro is intended for active traders and prop traders who want to manage several accounts, monitor trading rules and use the pre-market scanner.
Premium is aimed at traders who additionally want to monitor automated strategies (algo/EA), connect more accounts or record their own audio announcements. The Premium subscription includes all Pro features plus algo monitoring, cron alerts and significantly more storage and account slots.
Can I change my plan at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. A downgrade is possible at the end of the current billing period. Your data is retained.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
After cancellation you automatically switch to the Free plan. Your trades, sessions and journal entries are retained. Features that are only available in Pro or Premium are deactivated, but the associated data is not deleted.
Sessions
What is a trading session in TriaTex?
A session is a time-bounded trading day or trading block. You start a session before trading, record trades, screenshots and notes during the session and close the session afterwards.
Each session belongs to one of your trading plans and can then be evaluated in the review. The review asks in a structured way whether you kept your own rules.
How do I start a session?
Via New session or directly through the dashboard button. You select your plan, enter an initial note (optional) and start the session. Afterwards the live session monitor runs, showing your plan, your rules and optionally your MT5 account status.
What is the session review?
The review is a structured closing process after each session. TriaTex asks you whether you kept your rules, what went well, what went badly and what you would do differently next time.
The review contributes to the discipline evaluation and helps recognise patterns in your trading.
What are ICT Macros and how are they shown in the session?
ICT Macros are short, recurring time windows within a trading session in which, according to the ICT methodology, certain price movements can occur more frequently. They serve as a timing filter.
During an active session, TriaTex shows you which macros are currently active, upcoming or expired. Important: the display is based on New York time — it is shown correctly regardless of your location.
Can I edit or import sessions afterwards?
Yes. You can add trades to a session or edit them afterwards. Importing MT5 deal histories is also possible, so you can create past trading days as sessions after the fact.
Trades & Journal
How do I record a trade?
Trades can be created manually via Record trade. You enter instrument, direction, entry, stop-loss, take-profit, lot size and notes.
Alternatively, trades can be imported automatically via the MT5 account connection — then the open and close are taken directly from MetaTrader.
What is the trade journal and what is it for?
The journal is the documentation for each trade — thoughts before entry, charts, screenshots, setup description, error analysis and learning points.
A well-kept journal is one of the most effective ways to become a better trader in the long run. TriaTex makes the journal a fixed part of every session.
Can I upload screenshots and chart images?
Yes. You can upload screenshots for trades and sessions. The available storage depends on the plan: Free 10 MB, Pro 1 GB, Premium 5 GB.
What does the statistics evaluation show me?
The statistics show key figures such as profit/loss, win rate, average risk-reward ratio, best and worst instruments, weekday and time-of-day evaluations, as well as discipline scores from the session review.
Plans & Rules
What is a trading plan in TriaTex?
A trading plan is the basis for every session. It contains your strategy description, goals, rules, setup criteria and risk requirements. Every session is assigned to a plan.
You can create several plans — for example one for intraday trading and one for swing trading, or a separate plan for a prop-firm account.
What are trading rules and how do they work?
Trading rules are concrete conditions you have set for yourself — for example: "Max. 2% risk per trade", "Only trade between 9:00 and 12:00" or "No trade without a clear stop-loss".
TriaTex can monitor these rules during an active session (rule watcher) and warn you of rule breaks with a yellow or red card as well as an optional audio alarm.
What is the difference between rules and goals?
Rules are binding conditions you never want to break. They are monitored by the rule watcher.
Goals are quantitative targets for a session or a period — for example a daily profit target or a maximum daily loss. They help with planning and evaluation but are more flexible than rules.
MT5 accounts & broker connection
How do I connect my MT5 account?
Under Accounts you can create a new account. There you enter your broker, the server name, the account number and your investor password.
The investor password is the read-only password from MetaTrader — with it TriaTex can only read data but not place orders.
Which brokers are supported?
Basically any broker that offers MetaTrader 5 (MT5) — including RoboForex, IC Markets, Pepperstone, Exness, XM and many others.
For the connection you need the correct MT5 server name of your broker. You can find it in your MetaTrader 5 application under File → Open an account or in the account details.
Is my investor password secure?
The investor password is a pure read-only password. With this password no trades can be opened, changed or closed — neither by TriaTex nor by third parties. TriaTex uses it exclusively for data retrieval (balance, open positions, deal history).
Your main/trader password is never requested or stored.
What is a prop account and how does it differ?
A prop account is a trading account at a proprietary trading firm (prop firm). The firm provides the capital, the trader trades according to prescribed rules — for example with a maximum daily loss or a maximum overall loss limit.
TriaTex supports prop accounts with special rule monitoring: the prop firm's limits can be stored as rules, so that the rule watcher warns you when they are exceeded.
Pre-market scanner
What does the pre-market scanner do?
Before trading, the pre-market scanner analyses several Forex pairs and commodities for Fair Value Gaps, liquidity zones and possible setup areas. The result gives you a clear ranking of the instruments with the highest score for the current day.
The scanner helps speed up preparation and prioritise instruments instead of analysing every chart manually.
From which plan is the scanner available?
The pre-market scanner is available from the Pro plan. It is not accessible in the Free plan.
How often is the scanner updated?
The scanner runs daily before the London session and at the New York open. The results are updated automatically. You can access the current scan report at any time under Scanner.
Rule watcher & discipline
What is the rule watcher?
During an active session, the rule watcher monitors your stored trading rules in real time. When a condition is violated, a yellow card (warning) or a red card (serious rule violation) appears.
In addition, an audio alert can be triggered — with spoken instructions that point you directly to the violation.
From which plan is the rule watcher available?
The rule watcher with yellow & red card and audio alerts is available from the Pro plan.
The Premium subscription extends the rule watcher with algo alerts via cron (automatically scheduled checks) and own audio recordings.
What does the discipline score mean and how is it calculated?
The discipline score shows how consistently you have kept your own rules across several sessions. It is based on the information in the session review: did you keep your rules? Were there rule breaks? Did you end the session as planned?
A high discipline score over time is one of the strongest indicators of a sustainable trading result.
Algo trading & bots
Can TriaTex trade automatically for me?
No. TriaTex does not place orders itself and does not trade automatically. The platform is a journaling and analysis tool, not a trading system.
Algo monitoring is a supervision function: it reads the status of your MT5 account and checks whether an EA (Expert Advisor) running there stays within certain limits.
What is the AlgoSyncEA and why do I need it?
The AlgoSyncEA is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that acts as a bridge between your MT5 account and TriaTex. It sends account data, open positions and signals to the TriaTex platform.
You download the ready-compiled .ex5 file (no MetaEditor needed) and install it in your MetaTrader. After that TriaTex can monitor your algo account in real time.
From which plan is algo monitoring available?
Algo-bot monitoring is available exclusively in the Premium plan. In the Pro plan you can connect normal MT5 accounts but cannot use algo monitoring with cron alerts.
Technical & account
How do I change my language?
The language can be changed in the header via the language menu or under Settings. TriaTex supports German, English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
In which time zone are the times shown?
The session and world clocks automatically show the market times for Asia, London and New York correctly — no matter where you are. Your local time is detected by your browser itself.
The ICT Macros are always based on New York time (ET). A manual time-zone setting is not needed for this.
How do I delete my account?
For account deletion, please contact support via the contact form. We delete your data completely and in compliance with data protection.
I have another question — how do I reach support?
Via the contact form you can reach our support team. Pro and Premium customers receive priority support.
